Audubon
is 770 acres of tropical habitat with about 400 residences. Amenities
in the luxurious 36,000-square-foot clubhouse include a billiards room,
library, men's and women's card rooms and exercise rooms. Eight lighted
Har-Tru tennis courts, two croquet courts, a 25-meter heated swimming
pool and a tennis center with pro shop and the Courtside Cafe round out
Audubon's recreational program. Joe Lee designed the championship
18-hole golf course. Residents may use their own golf cart. The golf
initiation fee is currently $55,000 and is 100% equity. (Equity refers
to the portion of the initiation fee returned to you should you terminate
your membership.) Only 350 100%-equity golf memberships are available.
Other property owners may elect to be social members for an initiation
fee of $8,000 that also is 100% equity. Audubon is located within minutes
of the Gulf of Mexico and residents may elect separate permanent membership
to the private Miramar Beach Club.
