Palmira
Golf & Country Club is a new, gated community located two miles
east of I-75 in Bonita Springs. The developer is The Ronto Group,
which was founded in 1967. With U.S. headquarters in Naples, The Ronto
Group has developed several projects throughout Southwest Florida including
Forest Glen and Heritage Greens in Naples. The first phase of Palmira
will have 465 multi-family and single-family homes. The focus of community
life will be a private 27-hole golf course designed by Gordon Lewis
and a two-story, 27,000-square-foot clubhouse. A golf membership is
currently $39,000. This deposit is 100% refundable upon turning in
your membership. It is expected that the membership will increase to $45,000
in November 2001. The hub of the community will be a lake-fronted Village
Center consisting of several blocks of proposed retail services and gathering
places. Additional community amenities will include the Renaissance Center,
a two-story, 68,000-square-foot building featuring a pool, sun deck, fitness
area, massage rooms, saunas and aerobic room, computer room with private
